Our workshop

We make our jewelry by hand and with care. Designs are previously imagined, then materialized.

Prices of branded jewelry are often high. Indeed, in the standard industry, there are many intermediaries before the jewel is finally put on the market. At Shelyah, we aim at a creation and selling process that is more local. Locality enables cost reduction, but also proximity with the client. Thus, when you buy a Shelyah jewel, you only pay for the design and the quality of raw materials, nothing more!

All our jewels are thus carefully made from scratch by our team of designers and jewelers in Brussels.

We strive to find the finest materials and use the best manufacturing techniques possible. We opt out for the most cost-effective solutions that meet our aesthetic and high-quality requirements.

And because we personally supervise each step of the manufacturing process – from the drawing board to the final product – we are able to offer quality jewelry for prices affordable to everyone.

We want to be as transparent as possible regarding the manufacturing process of our jewels. Indeed, the choice of our raw materials suppliers is carefully made. It is important to us to stick to our ethical and environmental values.

The rigorous choice of our jewelry makers is at the heart of our strategy

We only work with jewelry manufacturers that share our values of quality and integrity. We are pretty demanding provided that the quality of our products depends on how rigorous their work is.

When we decide on a new partership, we always take into account the experience level, the technical competences and quality controlling. We also verify the implemented social and environmental policies: from transparency to fair pricing. Since we tend to be as much transparent as possible, we have chosen not to work with manufacturers whose workshop we could not visit.

We currently work with jewelry makers located in the North of Italy and close to Antwerp. These places are said to be the two best ones to make jewelry. Our raw materials suppliers are also located close to these areas, which avoids worldwide transportation.

Over the years, by sharing experience, we have become very close to our partners. We visit each workshop regularly, and we have therefore built a strong and transparent relationship with each one of them that, according to us, can be felt in the sustaining quality of our products.
