A ring sizer is a ring set that is used to measure on the finger the size of a ring. In some jewelry stores, when purchasing a ring, you can be given an adjustable ring sizer to keep safe if you happen not to remember your size. In general, this ring sizer is rolled up aound your finger and adjusts to indicate your size in a boxed text.
If you don’t have one at home, you can easily get one on the Internet. It takes the form of a paper sheet on which are printed several ring sizes. All you have to do is take a ring of yours and cut the size to know if it matches. If you have a doubt, don’t hesitate to take one size larger! It’s better to have a ring that’s too wide than too tight. Know that you can always change the size of your ring pretty quickly by exchanging in the jewelry store you bought it.
Measuring the diameter of a ring with a ruler
If you don’t have a tape measure or a ring sizer, virtual or real, but already own a ring, you can use it to take your size. All you have to do is put it on a flat surface, ideally a sheet, on which you can note the measure.
